So.  Tagged.  By the lovely CelandineGranger.  Sorry to put you all through this.  I’m honestly pretty boring, but what you gonna do?  It is my duty to comply to the tag.  I’ll do my best.

So these are the rules, set down by (I assume) the almighty original tagger:

-You should say 13 things about yourself.

-You must answer the 13 questions asked by the person who has tagged you, as well as, create 13 questions for the people you'll tag.

-Choose 13 people YOU have to tag. [ IT HAS TO BE 13 PEOPLE! And don't write: "If you have read this, you have been tagged!"]

-Make sure they know they have been tagged.

-You are allowed to tag whoever tagged you.

-MAKE A JOURNAL! Don't be lazy!

That means first up is the thirteen things about me:

1. I’m a girl.  Definitely.  And in my twenties.  That’s all you get.

2. Puppets and pre-CGI movie costumes usually creep me out.

3. When I was little, I thought movies were real.  The first time I noticed an actor who played in two different movies, I wondered why his name, family, and personality were different.  Apparently my mom gave up trying to explain.

4. I adore storms.  Lightning.  Thunder.  Ridiculously high winds.  I’m the crazy one that tries to get outside when everyone else is pressing in.  And usually I’m wearing a cape when I do.  I used to want to be a storm chaser.

5. I HATE letting people know what I love.  For some reason it makes me feel more vulnerable (and sometimes ashamed) than anything else in the world.  Pretty much everything I’ve posted (and probably will post) online is a huge leap of vulnerability and I’m doing it as an effort to get over this.

6. I have shot guns and love it, but I prefer arrows.  I have never killed anything bigger than a spider.

7. My single most common and by far the most potent recurring nightmare I have is a dog attack, which to my knowledge, has never come even close to happening to me in real life.

8. I tend to fall so deeply into a fictional world that I become defensive of the characters and I feel genuinely protected when they are protected.  I still haven’t quite come to terms with just how pathetic this is.

9. When I was little, I used to put myself through survival training.  Eating grass.  Drinking from puddles.  Allowing bee stings.  Because I was convinced I would find myself in a Hatchet situation someday.  For the most part, I am no longer affected by the standard temperature spectrum.  I’ll figure out later if this is more unhealthy than helpful.

10. I’m boycotting Apple because I am definitely a PC girl and i-products just don’t play well with Windows, but I’m seriously considering buying an ipod because I covet the camera and the ability to keep infinite mindless games in your pocket.

11. I am happiest alone and tend to accidentally burn my bridges because of it.  I feel violated if my cat walks in the room when I was expecting time alone.  But yet I’m addicted to certain (real) people.  I’m not antisocial – I just need significant time alone before I feel human in a crowd.

12. I have never dated because I’m waiting for the perfect guy.  I know.  But I’m cool with the possibility that I will never find love.  See previous point.

13. I secretly hope I’ll be recruited by superheroes to help them save the world.

Next up: the questions I was asked to answer:

1. What is the most interesting place you've been?
College.  Seriously.  Nothing beats the weirdness and you get people from all places.  It’s the world hub of interesting.

2. If you could learn one skill overnight, what would it be?
Definitely something physical, like parkour or sword fighting.  The only reason I don’t say martial art is because there are simply too many different ones to choose a specific.

3. Would you rather take a submarine to the bottom of the ocean, or a space shuttle to the moon?
I was going to say ocean because there’s more to see, but there’s a lot of freaky stuff down there and I’ve got a thing about stars.  So moon.

4. If you could switch places with your favorite character (book, movie, TV series, whatever) what would you do differently than the character?
This isn’t my favorite character, but he’s the only one I can think of who I love but don’t really approve of.  I would switch with Clark Kent (Smallville version) and stop using my powers to run over my friends.  It drives me crazy how he will super-speed out of a conversation he doesn’t like or to beat someone to a place he isn’t supposed to go.  Seriously, he adores these people, but he’s super self-righteous.  He doesn't even give them a chance.  I would also stop ripping car doors off and throwing them across fields.  And other similar acts.  I thought the point here was to keep the powers a secret!?

5. If you could choose one to be real, which would it be - sci fi technology (space ships, time travel, light sabers) or fantasy magic (magic wands, potions, spells)?
Sci fi tech definitely.  Magic is cool, but there’s honestly way too many possibilities with that.  I’d rather have the cool stuff.

6. If you could learn any language, which would it be?
Definitely something elusive that only the cool people know.  Like Elven or Klingon.  Ooh, scratch that.  Hieroglyphics.

7. If you could meet any historical person, who would it be?
Poe.  Because, seriously?  Where do you come up with this stuff?!

8. Would you rather be forced to leave your home town and never be able to return, or be forced to stay there and never leave?
My hometown is tiny.  Assuming my family is not locked into said tiny town, I would definitely choose the latter.  But I guess it depends on who I’m locked in with.

9. What is your favorite book?
Wings of Dawn, Sigmund Brouwer.  Love.  Mystery.  Betrayal.  Science magic.  Castles.  Secrets.  Duels.

10. What would be worse - living your whole life without music, or without color?
Music.  I get a lot of my emotion from it.  It’s a crucial part of my favorite TV shows.  I crave its power.  Color… it’s nice and helpful, but I think I could do okay in a dog-vision world.

11. What would your dream house be like?
Kind of like a palace, honestly.  With staff to keep it clean for me but I never see them unless I have a rare moment where I want to talk to somebody.

12. If you didn't have the internet, how would you spend your spare time?
Ha!  How I do, anyway: writing and watching TMNT.  I’m not online as much as most people would like.

13. How did you find out about me?
Pretty sure you found me through Reason of Shadow.  It’s not my fault I fell in love.

And here’s the terrifying part: admitting to thirteen people that I want to know more about them.  Eh, how about four?  Four's good, right?

Congratulations!  Your prize is more questions to answer!

1. If you could be involved (it’s your choice how) with any fictional character, who and why?
2. Has a fictional universe ever become your [we’ll say temporary] identity?
3. Marvel or DC (defend!)
4. What’s your pet peeve?  What about internet pet peeve?
5. Assuming you were guaranteed it wouldn’t eat or poison you… dream pet?
6. Do you prefer to dress up or stay casual?
7. Any strange phobias?
8. What’s the longest length of time you’ve spent in a car?
9. What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
10. You get to choose where you live, when you live, and you even get to lock in your age (you’ll be this age forever).  What do you choose?
11. What is one word that isn’t actually a word but should be?
12. Which of your deviations (or creations on other sites, but I’ll need links!) would you consider your masterpiece?
13. And I might as well steal the stolen question: How did you find/meet me?

All right, that wasn’t so hard.  I only spent all day writing and proofing it like it’s something groundbreaking.  Seriously, though, this was more fun than I thought it would be.  I probably wouldn’t even mind if it happened again ;P

Wow, we have so much in common!! In the things you said about yourself:
#2: Oh my gosh, yes!! Puppets are so creepy! I hate the Muppets for this reason, and especially any fantasy movie that involves puppets or bad costumes (e.g. Labyrinth, Never Ending Story, etc.)

#3: This was me, too. When I was about five, my mom talked about going to Disney World when I was older, and I was so excited until I saw a commercial for Disney World and saw that it was just people in costumes, and not the real characters themselves. I had been planning on asking Peter Pan for pixie dust, so I could fly.

#4: Again, I'm totally the same! I adore watching thunderstorms, the wilder the better, and when there's a tornado warning, I go outside to watch the sky. It's one of my dreams to see a tornado in real life.

#8: I feel the same way about fictional worlds. This is why I can't watch horror movies, and also why I return to my favorite books again and again - I miss the characters!

#12: I never dated anyone before I found my husband, either. Hang in there. The right guy is well worth waiting for.

And in the questions you answered:

#4: I love Smallville, too, and I totally agree with you. I thought this several times while watching this show!

#6: YES!! I love Elvish, and I already know a good bit of it (hence my avatar) - well, Sindarin, at least. Quenya is harder. But it is totally one of my life dreams to learn to read the Egyptian Hieroglyphs and then go to inside a pyramid and read the inscriptions on the walls. Hieroglyphs is such a fascinating form of written communication! Not the most efficient, certainly, but definitely gorgeous and brilliant. I'm totally fascinated by it.

#7: I like that you said Poe. I just recently memorized "The Raven" because it's my favorite poem. :)

#9: I've never read your favorite book, but you description of it sounds like the Princess Bride. XD

OK, so that was quite the novel of a comment, but it just struck me how much we have in common. I'm an introvert, too, by the way. :) I think we would get along in real life.
